Passion is a new enterprise created by Lovegrove Consulting, a long established photography training company in the United Kingdom. Lovegrove Consulting is a small company with a big profile. A player on the world stage working from a converted farm in Somerset. Our enthusiastic verve is creatively driven. We love image making and always strive to exceed our own and our customers' expectations. The foundation for our team's success comes from a continuing education in image-making and business. We have never stopped learning and we have this wealth of knowledge and experience to pass on.

Meet the team

DAMIEN LOVEGROVE learned his trade as a cameraman and lighting director during 14 years at the BBC, working on programmes including the Clothes Show, Top of the Pops and Casualty. Days off from filming were often spent taking photographs for a variety of top name clients including Peugeot, Motorola, and Adidas.

Then Julie made an entrance in his life and he realised that photography wasn't the only thing he was passionate about! She comes a very close second (yes, that is a joke) and anyone who has met Damien can't fail to be inspired and motivated by his enthusiasm for his second career. So much so that once you get him started on a subject it's hard to shut him up...

Twenty years on, Damien has become one of the foremost trainers of photography and entrepreneurial business strategies in our industry. A published writer and regular columnist, Damien has traveled the globe sharing his knowledge and expertise. 

NEWS: The Guild of Photographers has given its ultimate accolade, that of 'Master of the Craft' to Damien Lovegrove in recognition of his skills and commitment to the art of photography and the training thereof. The award has only been given to 5 other photographers throughout the world! 

MARTIN HILL spent the early part of his working life serving with the Royal Marines. Having undergone extensive professional retraining by Damien he finally took the ultimate step of converting a much-loved hobby into a career. Martin makes his clients feel comfortable and relaxed and they often say 'it's like being photographed by an old friend'. It is certainly this skill which helps Martin create outstanding wedding and portrait photography. Martin's distinctive style of flash shooting has won him many industry awards along the way. "I set Martin up with the rudiments of working with big flash back in 2008 and since then his work has eclipsed mine," says Damien. "I know of no other person more capable of leading a group of deligates to achieve carreer best images with passion and soul. Martin has it all as a world class trainer and a valued personal friend."

CHRIS HANLEY is a professional photographer with 30yrs experience under his belt. His style is fresh, his enthusiasm infectious and his photography is sublime. Chris is at the top of his game and is listed in the UKs top 10 wedding photographers. "I think he is in certainly in the top three and his clients would put him at number one," says Damien. I had a role to play in Chris's career too, we met under a railway arch in the Lake District in the pouring rain on a portraiture lighting workshop I was giving. I opened his eyes to a new way of working and rekindled the fire within. Chris is a fabulous trainer, he is very intune with his delegates and leads them to take beautiful pictures. I've taught alongside Chris on many occasions now and it is always a joy to see the exhiliration in the faces of our delegates. Chris is super resourceful, a great chef and a close personal friend. There is always a buzz when we work together." Damien.

OUR MODELS are selected with the utmost care to ensure that they are right for the job. Regardless of whether they are crawling through windows or sitting in the mud they will be kind and patient with our delegates and most importantly up for a laugh. We source models locally and occasionally we fly them from the UK to ensure we have exactly what we need. All our workshops are given in English and we always use English speaking models.

LAURA is the project co-ordinator for all PASSION experiences. She will be your first point of contact on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with Julie covering Tuesdays and Thursdays.
